Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are and What This Covers

Conterity (operated by Dev99 Group) researches keywords and writes SEO articles for your business, which you review and approve before using them on your own site. This policy covers the conterity.com website and the Conterity app.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details.
• Workspace content: the websites you add, your Brand Brain (offer, audiences, voice, proof points and claims to avoid), notes and facts you give us, keywords, briefs, drafts, approved articles and their version history.
• Connected services: if you connect Google Search Console or Google Docs, the access tokens for that connection, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and the data you allow us to read (for Search Console, clicks, impressions and positions for your pages).
• Billing: your plan and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
• Usage and technical data: AI usage and cost per request, error logs and basic request data (IP address, browser) used to run, secure and improve the service.

To research a keyword we read publicly available web pages and Google results. We use that public content to plan and fact-check articles; we do not build profiles of the people who wrote it.

3. How We Use Data

We use your data only to provide the service you asked for: reading your website, researching keywords, writing and checking articles, showing their search results, sending account and product emails, billing, security and support. We do not sell your personal data or your workspace content, and we do not use it for advertising.

Our legal bases (GDPR Art. 6) are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it (for example, connecting a Google account).

4. AI Processing

Prompts and the content context needed to write or check an article are sent to AI service providers only to generate that content. Under our agreements with them, your data is not used to train their models. Conterity does not train AI models on your content.

5. Service Providers

We use carefully selected service providers to run Conterity, each bound by data protection terms and given only the data needed for its task:

• Hosting and storage: secure cloud hosting, databases and file storage.
• AI services: writing, planning, checking and AI search visibility checks.
• Search and research data: search results, keyword data and reading public web pages. Only search terms and page addresses are sent.
• Images: stock photo search for featured images, where enabled. Only the article topic is sent.
• Google services you connect: Search Console and Google Docs, only when you connect them.
• Payments: checkout, subscriptions and invoices.
• Email: account and product emails.
• Error monitoring: to find and fix problems, with personal details removed where possible.

Customers who need the current list of providers for their own compliance can request it at privacy@conterity.com.

6. Retention and Deletion

We keep your workspace data while your account is open. You can export a workspace at any time. When you delete your account or a workspace, its data is removed from our active databases within 24 hours, and from backups as they expire. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.

7. Your Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA)

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Most of this can be done in your account settings; for anything else email privacy@conterity.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Business Contact Data From an Earlier Feature

An earlier, now switched-off Conterity feature found public business information about companies (for example from public filings and job boards). If you believe we hold information about you or your company from that feature and want it deleted and never collected again, email privacy@conterity.com with the name, company domain or email address. We delete it and keep only that email address or domain on a do-not-collect list, so it is not collected again.

9. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies (sign-in session, security protection and your selected workspace) and, where enabled, a first-party analytics cookie that counts visits in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies will stop sign-in from working.

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
